SEPTEMBER 19 RACE
RESULTS -
The stock car racing
season in Saskatoon wrapped up Saturday night at Auto Clearing Motor
Speedway, with 2009 championships being decided in the Cooper Tire
thunder stock and WSSL Auto Parts super late model divisions and the
Siemens Transportation Group Western Elite Stock Car Tour. The
evening started with Barry Stefaniuk, Glen Hertzke and Dan Shirley
leading in points and the night ended with these three being
declared champions.

Results:
The Siemens Transportation Group Western Elite StockCar Tour was
out Saturday night, running a makeup date from the August 15
rainout. The heat races and first feature went well. Dan
Shirley and Jeff Reimer picked up heat race wins.
Qualifying fastest, Dan Shirley started in the pole position for
the Express Foods Feature A and led the first six laps. Jeff
Reimer then brought the #1 Q-Line Trucking Monte Carlo around
him and took off. Nobody could touch him for the rest of the
race. Nathan Weenk picked up third in the #88 Mid West Racing
Monte Carlo.

Saskatoon, SK, - the Siemens Western Elite StockCar Tour
WEST is heating up for 09! Auto Clearing Motor Speedway will
host the opening race for the Siemens Western Elite StockCar
tour on Saturday, May 23, 2009. Fourteen (14) are expected to
hit the track tomorrow night to kickoff the 2009 series. The
gates open at 5 PM and the green flag drops at 6 PM. Other
divisions racing Saturday include the SKL Trailers Pro Trucks
and the Cooper Tires Thunder Stocks.

owned, by Rob Howlett, will be driven on Saturday night by,
SSCRA President and 2008 Super Late Model Champion, Trent
Seidel. Trent is very excited about joining this group of
drivers on the track. Seidel states: the last time I was behind
the wheel of a WEST car, #49 owned by Ben Busch, mechanical
concerns kept us out of contention. I appreciate the opportunity
Rob has given me to get back out there are compete for a top 3
finish.

Siemens WEST Season Opener
The
winter dust and some new rubber was laid down with the first
race of the season at Auto Clearing Motor Speedway this past
weekend. The annual Mother's Day race had the weatherman's
cooperation and a great crowd showed up to see some exciting
racing.
The excitement and anticipation is
growing at the track to see the Siemens Western Elite StockCar
Tour hit the pavement on Saturday, May 23 at 6 PM. Race
fans are hearing about the increased car count and the new teams
that are committed to a great series in 2009.

Breaking News
for Mid West Racing Ltd.
Mid West Racing
owner Kevin Kozack based out of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, is
pleased to announce that in addition to the teams current race
cars, the #88 Mid West Combustion Monte Carlo SS and the #3 G B
Mobile Welding Monte Carlo SS both of which will participate in
the 2009 Siemens Western Elite division that will tour
Saskatoon, Regina and Medicine Hat, Alberta this season.
Mid West Racing
has registered to participate in the Nascar Canadian Tire Series
event to be held in Saskatoon on July 29th and will be fielding
for this event a newly built most up to date and current Nascar
Certified race car which is being constructed by McColl Racing
Enterprises out of London, Ontario.
This will add to
our team the 2009 #48 Chevrolet Impala SS which will be driven
by Nathan Weenk (our current driver of the #88 car and a
recognized North American driver of the Jurassic Attack and El
Toro Loco Monster trucks).
The team will
consist of Team owner Kevin Kozack, Driver Nathan Weenk, Crew
Chief Howard Chappell (a recognized engine builder who works at
Thanes Big T Auto Repair) and Crew of Dennis Ausselin (General
Manager of Saskatoon Wholesale Tire), Ben Busch (Siemens West
driver of the #49 Grand Prix) and Les Harding (Manager of Richie
Brothers Auctioneers and Driver/Team Owner of the Siemens West
#1 and #11 race cars).
We are quite
pleased that Nascar has chosen to come to our fine city to host
an event and are ecstatic to be the first in Saskatchewan to
field and participate in a Nascar Sanctioned event not only in
our homeland but in Canada as well.
